Our Physicians: Dr. Marylyn V. Grondin

Dr. Grondin’s expertise in caring for patients shows in her practice at Atlantic Digestive Specialists. Licensed in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire, Dr. Grondin is the only experienced female gastroenterologist on the seacoast and has been in the seacoast ares since 1992.

Dr. Grondin earned a B.A. with Distinction from the University of Colorado, an M.D from the Universidad LaSalle in Mexico City, Mexico, and a Certificate of Clinical Training – 5th Pathway, from the College of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey.

Dr. Grondin’s post-graduate training includes a Clinical Gastroenterology Fellowship and a Gastroenterology Research Fellowship at the West Virginia University School of Medicine. She performed her Internal Medicine Internship and Residency at Bridgeport Hospital in Connecticut, an affiliate of Yale University School of Medicine. Following her post-graduate training in gastroenterology, she remained on the medical staff of West Virginia University School of Medicine as an Assistant Professor training Fellows in both pediatric and adult gastroenterology.

Throughout her career, Dr. Grondin has practiced at many hospitals and medical centers including the Hillcrest Hospital in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, the Kaiser Permanente Medical Center in San Francisco, California, West Virginia University Hospitals, Inc. and Anna Jacques Hospital in Newburyport, Massachusetts.

Dr. Grondin is a member of the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the New Hampshire Medical Society. She holds privileges at Beth Israel Deaconness Hospital in Boston, MA. In addition to her patient work, Dr. Grondin is a clinical instructor of medicine at Harvard Medical School.
